Gig in the Garden Saturday October 20th.

We love outdoor live music opportunities at The Commercial Boutique Hotel. Once a month we will be holding a ‘Gig in the Garden’ event in the CBH’s backyard. The next Gig in the Garden is all set for Saturday October 20th. What a perfect way to spend a sunny Saturday afternoon during Summer! Our back deck and grassed area with large bush trees covering picnic tables is the perfect location to laze and relax with a great craft beer and snack from the kitchen while listening to great local solo musicians perform.

Each Gig in the Garden showcases two local artists performing from a session each from 130pm until 5pm. The New England area has some great local up and coming artists eager to show their skills and impress you with their talented voices and original compositions.

This week in the Gig in the Garden we have two local favourites performing for us- Kathryn Luxford, and Thor Phillips. Both singer/songwriters specialise in country blues roots music with their own original modern twist.

For each of our “Gigs in the Garden” we’ll have a special outdoor event food menus available the whole afternoon and great drinks specials. We have a great selection of local craft beers both bottled and on tap, and beer bucket specials available exclusively during Gig in the Garden Sunday sessions. And you can’t beat the local Balandean and Granite Belt wines that we have available for our wine drinkers. It truly is a wonderful way to spend the afternoon, out in the sun or under one of our large trees listening to great live music while enjoying the great selection of craft beers we have on offer. We’ve got Murrays Brewing Company, Stone and Wood brewing, Mountain Goat Brewing and Burleigh Heads Brewing just to name a few! Not to mention that dogs on lead are welcome in the garden as we are a pet friendly establishment. You can’t wish for anything better on a Sunday afternoon!
