Next Gig in the Garden band ‘Asleep at The Reel ‘ performing Sunday March 10th

The next ‘Gig in the Garden’ is all set for Sunday March 10th. Be sure to put March 10th in your diaries as we have the amazing Irish band ‘Asleep at the Reel’ performing live for us.
The band describes their style as –
‘evoking the sound of the lively Irish pub, of flying fiddles and rich voices in harmony around an open fire. Our songs are stories – some of them hundreds of years old – wrapped up in music. Their rollicking jigs and reels will keep your feet tapping. The Irish call it the craic. It’s a word that means music and fun and good times and, typically, quite a lot of the demon drink all bound up together’
Well that is telling it straight from the band themselves and doesn’t that certainly sound like fun?!

We were pleased to have ‘Asleep at the Reel’ perform live for us last year in July in our wine bar and our guests were certainly toe tapping along to all the great gigs and Irish folklore songs performed. We look forward to welcoming Mark, Rose, Mick, Suzanne and Hugh back into the garden this time to play for us in March for one of our live music ‘Gig in the Garden’ Sunday afternoons.

As usual we will have a special outdoor event menu organised by our chef for the ‘Gig in the Garden’, and our popular craft beer bucket specials will be available on the day as well. Come along early and find your perch on one of the picnic tables under the trees, or bring along your own picnic blanket and find your perfect spot on the grass. Dogs are very welcome on leads in the Commercial Boutique Hotel garden. It really is the perfect way to spend a glorious Sunday afternoon for the whole family, Gig starts at 3pm.
